Today is the National Day of Prayer. Our church leadership challenged the people to pray from midnight Wed through midnight Thursday. Each person commits to pray for 1 hour at the church building or at home for our church, our leadership, our missionaries, and the community. It was humbling to know that people were praying while I was sleeping and they'll still be praying when I go to bed this evening. People were standing on the stage praying for the worship team, they were standing where I preach and praying for me. People were praying over the baptistery asking God to keep those waters stirring. In the lobby, in the sound booth, praying, praying, praying...prayer is our most powerful weapon and yet we struggle to wield it sometimes. Make time today to pray....ask God for his blessing on you, your people, the lost, the hurting, the sick. Pray with your voices and hearts raised to join the millions of other Christians who are praying today. Prayer changes things!
