I've had a couple of opportunities to share the gospel with people and it's refreshing to see people hear the Good News. I think we forget a couple of things about the gospel:
1. The Good News is simple. We don't need a Romans Road, Concordance or video series. Tell people the simple message of Jesus...Acts 2 is a great summary.
2. It's GOOD News. We act apologetic sometimes, or sheepish about it, but why? The Good News is the best news of our lives.
3. It's News. Even though the story isn't new, it is news to many people. Expect for them to react, to have insights, questions, concerns. Expect that they might be excited, nervous, or joyful.
Many Christians feel ill prepared to share the Good News with someone else, but we have to own our part of that particular problem. The Good News is simple, it's good, and it's news to a world lost and dying in sin. So spread it around! (Matt 28:19-20)
